Any time a worker becomes monetarily eligible under method one, (s)he must be paid under this method, which uses all wages paid during the first four of the last five completed calendar quarters immediately preceding the date the worker calls to file his or her claim for benefits.
If an unemployed worker is not monetarily eligible under monetary method one, the department will use the last four completed calendar quarters preceding the effective date of the claim as the base period.
monetarily
If the unemployed worker is not monetarily eligible under monetary method two, the department will use the last three completed calendar quarters and wages paid in the current quarter up to the effective date of the claim as the base period.
The effectiveness of ADAS addressing property damage has an increasing impact on car manufacturers, insurers and customers, as accident avoidance or mitigation can lead to loss reduction. In order to obtain benefits, it is essential that ADAS primarily address monetarily relevant accident scenarios. Furthermore, sensor technologies and algorithms have to be configured in a way that relevant accident situations can be sufficiently avoided at reasonable system costs. A new methodology is developed to identify and configure monetarily effective parameters for ADAS during parking and maneuvering. ADAS parameters e.g. relevant accident scenarios, required crash avoidance speeds and different sensor layouts are analyzed and evaluated using a real-world in-depth accident database of insurance claims provided by Allianz Center for Technology and Allianz Automotive Innovation Center. For this purpose, a sensitivity analysis is conducted to identify most monetarily effective accident scenarios. Furthermore, a new cost-benefit approach is pursued, to determine monetarily effective parameter configurations. For each configuration, e.g. high crash avoidance speed vs. low crash avoidance speed, the corresponding monetary effectiveness is evaluated. To avoid over-engineering ADAS functionalities, parameter configurations with the highest incline in monetary effectiveness are determined using derivation. The proposed new method allows an economic development of monetarily effective ADAS and is applied to the example of a luxury class vehicle and an exemplary 360 parking and maneuvering emergency braking system.
If you fail to qualify monetarily using the regular base period, it may be possible to use an Alternate Base Period (ABP). To see if you qualify and to request an ABP contact us at uiclaimshelp@iwd.iowa.gov or 1-866-239-0843.
A regular base period is the first four of the last five completed calendar quarters, immediately preceding the effective date of your new claim. This is the first base period which will be looked at to determine if you are monetarily eligible.
"If you are not monetarily eligible using the 'standard base period,' then an 'alternate period' can be explored. An 'alternate base period' is the one year period made up of the four most recently completed calendar quarters immediately preceding the start of the benefit year. For example, if you filed your claims in July, 2015 and were not monetarily eligible using the 'standard base period,' then, at your request, eligibility using quarterly earnings from July 1, 2014 through June 20, 2015 can be checked."
The covered wages earned during a certain period. These wages are used to determine if a claimant qualifies monetarily for reemployment assistance and the amount to which he or she is entitled to receive. Comprised of the first 4 of the last 5 completed calendar quarters preceding the benefit year beginning date.
Claimant meets the monetarily qualifications to establish claim. To be monetarily eligible for benefits, you must have been paid wages in two or more calendar quarters in the Base Period, your total Base Period wages are equal to or more than one and half (1 ) times your high quarter wages and the total wages you have earned in your qualified quarters of your claim must be equal or higher than $3400.
The monetary determination has been issued, and there are no pending wage requests thus the claimant does not meet the monetary requirements to establish a claim. You will be monetarily ineligible for benefits if you have not been paid wages in two or more calendar quarters in the base period, your total base period wages are less than one and one half (1 ) times your high quarter wages or the total wages you have earned in your qualified quarters of your claim are not equal or higher than $3400.
